Our mission at DISC is not only to manage and prevent pain, but also to educate the patient on how they can move and strengthen their bodies through pain. This type of rehabilitation is designed by our strength and conditioning coaches who work with the doctors and physiotherapists to create a program to either strengthen, mobilize or condition the individual to advance them to better health.

Many patients fear movement due to associating it with pain and being immobile can actually increase mental and physical stress thus slowing down the healing.

Our strength and conditioning coaches are educated on taking our patients through different exercise programs with the goal of movement correction for individuals with faulty movement pattern whether its posture or sports related, building muscle to combat osteoporosis or weight loss to improve cardiovascular state or to prevent extra stress on the spine.

These types of programs also alleviate mental stress, change habits and have better long term outcome for the patient, especially being within a controlled medical setting.
